The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Seagulls won fourth quarter24-23 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Karhubasket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Samuel Givens (198-1989, college: Drexel) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and the former international Topias Palmi (195-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 24 points. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international forward Okko Jarvi (193-1996, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 24 points (made all of his seven free throws). Four Karhubasket and five Seagulls players scored in double figures.
