The game between 12th ranked Beroe (9-22) and seventh rankedShumen (14-17) in Stara Zagora on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Shumen outscored Beroe 123-81 . Shumen dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Beroe 's 40. Shumen forced 22 Beroe turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Beroe 's players. Canadian-Senegalese guard Karim Mane (190-2000) nailed 25 points and 8 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and point guard Baris Mustafa (180-2006) accounted for 18 points. Shumen's coach Yanko Yankov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Nikolay Titkov (183-1998) came up with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Kaloyan Kolchev (180-2004) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Beroe in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shumen . They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CSKA. Beroe lost their thirteenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. Shumen will meet Yambol (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Beroe will play against Akademik in Plovdiv and hope to secure a win.
