It looked good early as Focsani took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rm Valcea took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 12 points. They outreboundedFocsani 42-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Rm Valcea players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Focsani 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Stephaun Branch (196-1995, college: UWG, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Nigerian-Italian center Peter Olisemeka (207-1991) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Sherwood Brown (193-1991, college: FGCU) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and Serbian point guard Pavle Reljic (193-1993) added 18 points and 4 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) in the effort for Focsani. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
