It looked good early as Kavkasia took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then TSU had a 29-20 second period charge getting the lead and Kavkasia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 86-98. Kavkasia was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by the former international forward Aleksandre Phevadze (207-1998, agency: BIG) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Willy Isiani (203-1997, college: Detroit, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five TSU players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Jawaun Daniels (201-1998, college: PVAMU) did not help to save the game forKavkasia . The former international swingman Nikoloz Gaprindashvili (200-2002) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
