The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter28-13 . But Seagulls won second period 21-17 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Topias Palmi (195-1994, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Shawn Hopkins (197-1995, college: N.Georgia, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Karhubasket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Shavon Coleman (195-1992, college: LSU) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Seagulls' coach Vesa Vertio rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
