GBL top team -Panathinaikos (26-1) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat fifth ranked Aris (13-14) in Thessaloniki 80-68 . Panathinaikos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Polish center Aleksander Balcerowski (218-2000) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Jerian Grant (196-1992, college: Notre Dame) supported him with 8 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by Angolan forward Silvio de Sousa (206-1998, college: Chattanooga) did not help to save the game for Aris . The former international point guard Vasileios Toliopoulos (186-1996) added 7 points and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Panathinaikos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-1 record. Loser Aris keeps the fifth place with 14 games lost.
