It looked good early as Hapoel Haifa took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Tel-Aviv had a 38-17 second period charge getting the lead and Hapoel Haifa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-83.H.Tel-Aviv made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian point guard Tyler Ennis (188-1994, college: Syracuse) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. American-Puerto Rican John Holland (196-1988, college: Boston U.) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Forward Gur Lavy (198-2001, agency: BIG) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Alex Hamilton (193-1993, college: La Tech, agency: SLN) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for H.Haifa in the defeat. Four H.Haifa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
