Regular Season Round 3: Union Mons - Aalst 76-69

Very predictable result in Jemappes where Belfius Mons-Hainaut (2-1) beat Okapi Aalst (0-3) 76-69 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Icelandic swingman Styrmir Thrastarson (200-2001, college: Davidson, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Anthony Lambot (191-1994) helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-1986) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Bosnian forward Lazar Mutic (204-1999) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Belfius Mons and four Aalst players scored in double figures. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will meet Feyenoord (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Okapi Aalst will play against Groningen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
