Regular Season Round 4: Prievidza - Handlova 94-66

UndefeatedHandlova (3-1) recorded its first loss on the court of ninth ranked Prievidza . Visitors were rolled over by Prievidza 94-66 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Handlova. Prievidza made 29-of-34 charity shots (85.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Handlova turnovers. Prievidza players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Handlova 's players. Handlova was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American guard Daishon Smith (185-1995, college: ULM, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored that evening 30 points and 6 assists and the other American import Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Prievidza's coach Sasa Jankovic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds by Serbian Luka Vasic (203-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) did not help to save the game for Handlova . American guard Tavis Smith (191-1999, college: Belm.Abbey) added 22 points for lost side. Prievidza (1-1) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Levice. Handlova at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost.
