Stjarnan 2 recorded a loss in Stykkisholmur on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Snaefell 82-67 . It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Snaefell's pressure prevailed and they won that period 22-10 extending their advantage to 15 points. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Danielle Shafer (175-1995, college: Urbana) who scored 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). German center Carlotta Ellenrieder (193-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 28 rebounds. Power forward Bergdis Thorsteinsdottir (180-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and forward Kristjana Logadottir (174-2006) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Stjarnan 2's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
