Regular Season Round 4: Brod na Savi - Ragusa 58-77

Bottom-rankedBrod na Savi (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-58 loss to top-ranked Ragusa (4-0) in Slavonski Brod on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Ragusa forced 26 Brod na Savi turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Iva Todoric (174-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and international Tihana Stojsavljevic (191-1997, college: Virginia) who added 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Simona Soda used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Aliyah-Deen Ahmad (170-1998, college: FMU) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Andrea Stankovic (172-2006) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Ragusa have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pozega and Tresnjevka. Loser Brod na Savi still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Medvescak.
