No shocking result in a game in Pernio where fifth rankedPuHu Juniorit (3-1) smashed 7th ranked PeU-Basket (1-3) 83-55 on Sunday. PuHu Juniorit held PeU-Basket to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 46.4 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded PeU-Basket 58-34 including a 48-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. PuHu Juniorit looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Cristian Ahokas (203-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tuure Takala (185-1993) who added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Tino Yli-Junnila (195-2005) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and forward Patrik Poutiainen (198-2001) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PuHu Juniorit moved-up to fourth place, which they share with HyPo. Loser PeU-Basket dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with Honka.
