Regular Season Round 8: Szolnok - Kormend 101-95

A Division top team -Szolnok (7-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Kormend (3-5) 101-95 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kormend. Szolnok players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kormend 's players. Kormend was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 assists and Canadian forward Fardaws Aimaq (211-1999, college: California) who added 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Rudi Williams (188-1998, college: BYU) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Daylen Kountz (193-2000, college: N.Colorado) scored 28 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Szolnok have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record, which they share with Szombathely. Kormend at the other side dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Sopron KC.
