Regular Season Round 6: PeKa - Espoo Team 87-59

Very expected game when 6th ranked Espoo Team (3-3) was smashed by second ranked Peli-Karhut (5-1) in Kotka 87-59 on Saturday. PeKa looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Espoo Team's players. American guard Lauren Heard (175-1999, college: TCU) notched 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Australian forward Eve Braslis (185-2000, college: Pepperdine) supported her with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by forward Nicole Ogun (185-2007) did not help to save the game for Espoo Team. Point guard Erika Mace (177-2007) added 12 points and 4 assists. PeKa maintains second position with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader ToPo. Loser Espoo Team keeps the sixth place with three games lost. PeKa will meet ViVe (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Espoo Team will play against the league's leader ToPo and hope to secure a win.
