West defeats East in the All-Star Show
The game between the two All-Star  teams became the highlight of the weekend of basketball in the capital of the country. The coaches of the EAST team Nikolay Buzlyakov and Anatoly Komlev added Oleg Krivonos (201-F-80), Sergey Savin (200-G-82), Sergei Matveev (195-F/G-80), Denis Zakruzhny (186-G-83) and Evgeny Mashenkov (202-F-78) to the starting five chosen by public vote, while Mikhail Feiman and Pustogvar have invited Andrej Plotnikov (201-F-76), Dmitry Zaitsev (193-G-81), Yury Kachan (202-F/C-76), Yury Mishukov (205-C-85) and Maksim Shustau (185-G-86) to join the WEST team roster. The game itself proved quite easy for the visitors, who controlled it from the word “Go!” and won by the largest margin in the entire 6-year history of the show. Andrei Krivonos (191-G-75, college: George Washington) and Uladzimir Charko (200-F-74) were voted MVPs of the game. Aliaksei Pyntsikau (192-G-75) won the long-range shooting competition for the second year running, while Heorhi Kandrusevich (197-F-78) came on top of a slam-dunk contest also for a second year in a row.
