Minsk-2006 defends the title of the country - May 6, 2011

Minsk-2006 defends the title of the country as they won the Play-offs again. The team won ALL the games of the 2010/2011 season and swept the Final series as well.
In the decisive game 3 Minsk-2006 overcame Grodno-93 83:69. The favorites started with 22-19, but could save only 1 points at the halftime as Grodno responded with 21-19 in the second frame. The third quarter was decisive in the game as Minsk needed 25-13 to seal the win. Moreover the guests won the last frame 17-16 to triumph in the country.
Shawn King (208-C-82, college: ORU) stepped up with 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Aliaksandr Kudrautsau (190-G-80) nailed 21. Dzianis Korshuk (201-F-78, agency: Agency No 10) netted 15 and Lashkevich scored 11. Lemik ended up with 18 points in the losing effort, whilst Vyacheslav Bogdanov (200-F-83, agency: Promotex) scored

Foreign All Stars team won over Belarus All Stars over the weekend 130:121. In a real show the fans also enjoyed Slam Dunk Contest, Three-point Contest and many more.
More than 1500 spectators came to see the show in Mogilev. Foreign All Stars started with 37:29 and did not slow down at all. The local players however managed to reduce the gap producing 34-30 in the second frame. Foreign All Stars added 33-31 in the third quarter for a bigger lead and won the game due to 30-29 in the last stanza.
Shawn King (208-C-82, college: ORU) erupted with 27 points and 14 rebounds being named the MVP. Larry Hall (190-G-83, college: W.Oregon) followed him with 23 points and Nenad Pistoljevic (196-G-80, agency: Alti Sport) added 16. Kanstantin Yafremov (202-F-86) and Konyushenko responded with 21 points each in the losing effort.
Vyacheslav Bogdanov (200-F-83) became the Winner of Three-point Contest. Sergei Dadukin (199-F-83) was named the best Dunker.

Minsk-2006 enjoy the Cup 2010/2011 Trophy as the team grabbed the last one in the year 2010. Minsk-2006 won both games over the weekend for the final success.
At first in the Semifinal Minsk-2006 overcame OZAA 107:79. The favorites opened the game with 29-24 and added 24-20 before the break. In the third quarter Minsk produced a 22-19 spurt and finished the game with massive 32-16 in the last frame. In another Semifinal Lokomotiv rolled over Grodno-93 77:69. Being tied at 17 after the first 10 minutes Lokomotiv produced a 19-15 in the second period and never looked behind after.
In the game for the third place Grodno-93 won over OZAA 73:67. The winners won the first period 18-15 and were too good for the opponents in the second frame with 26-11.
In the Final Minsk-2006 was awesome with 114:71 win over Lokomotiv. The favorites opened the game with 26-14 and later won all the other quarters. Aliaksei Lashkevich (203-F-78) stepped up with 17 points for the winners, while Tywain McKee (188-G-86, college: Coppin St.) added 15. Siarhei Sapegin (195-G-84) responded with 19 points in the losing effort.
Uladzimir Charko (200-F/G-74) was named MVP of the tournament.
