Belarusian Premier League round 6 best performance: Anton Makhanovskiy (by Hoops Agents)

Point guard Anton Makhanovskiy (170-PG-2005) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Rubon Vitebsk 2nd team, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 21-year old player was the main contributor (36 points, six rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat SDUSHOR-Viktoria (#7, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 72-63. Rubon 2 maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Belarusian Premier League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Rubon 2 will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Makhanovskiy had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. It's his second year at Rubon 2 and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Anton Makhanovskiy averages just after three games 18.0ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Gleb Butovsky (200-F-2009) of RCOP-SDUSHOR Minsk. Butovsky had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led RCOP-SDUSHOR to another comfortable win outscoring RGUOR (#6, 0-3) 103-39. This victory allowed RCOP-SDUSHOR to move up to 4th position in Group B. His team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Butovsky is a newcomer at RCOP-SDUSHOR, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Cameroonian forward German Abudi (205-F-2001) of Gomelskiye Rysi GGU Gomel (#5). Abudi scored 25 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Abudi's great performance the Gomel lost 71-72 to the higher-ranked Borisfen (#2, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Gomel needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Group A. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Abudi has a very solid season. In 7 games in Belarus he scored 11.0ppg. He also has 5.4rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 57.1%.
