Czech Republic NBL round 9 best performance: Javian McCollum (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Javian McCollum (188-G-2002) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked SK Slavia Prague ERA NBK, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (22 points, two rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Opava (#10, 3-6) with 25-point margin 121-96. Slavia maintains the 2nd position in Czech Republic NBL. They are still close to the very top. Slavia would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game McCollum had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Slavia's top player in his first season with the team. Former Georgia Institute of Technology star has very solid stats this year. McCollum is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.4apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Slovakian Juraj Palenik (200-SF-2000) of BK Lokomotiva Plzen. Palenik had a very good evening with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Plzen lost that game 74-98 to the higher-ranked Pardubice (#1, 9-2). Plzen are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Plzen managed to get this year. Palenik is a newcomer at Plzen, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was international center Martin Svoboda (201-C-2001) of Srsni Photomate Pisek (#6). Svoboda scored 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was a key player of Srsni Pisek, leading his team to a 95-82 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Brno (#8, 3-6). Srsni Pisek needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Svoboda has a great season in Czech Republic. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 8.4rpg (2nd best).
