Matej Zejdl's triple-double lands him 1Liga Player of the Week award

Center Matej Zejdl (208-C-2003) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked GBA Lions Jindrichuv Hradec, receiving a Hoops Agents 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 23-year old player recorded a triple-double of 19 points adding also 17 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed Slavia PT (#10, 1-5) with 18-point margin 94-76. It allowed J.Hradec to take over top position in the Czech Republic 1Liga. J.Hradec have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Zejdl had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Matej Zejdl has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 54.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Vaclav Warisch (2007) of Basket Opava 2010. Warisch had a very good evening with 29 points and 7 assists. It was enough for Opava 2010 to edge the higher-ranked Brno 2 (#6, 3-4) 89-87. Opava 2010's 9th position in East has not changed. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Opava 2010 managed to get this year. Warisch is one of the most experienced players at Opava 2010 and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Pavel Czudek (161-PG-2006) of BK Nova Hut Ostrava (#8). Czudek scored 24 points and passed 8 assists. Despite Czudek's great performance the NH Ostrava lost 71-93 to the higher-ranked Novy Jicin (#1, 6-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. NH Ostrava can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Czudek has individually a great season in Czech Republic. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.2ppg (best scorer) and assists with 6.2apg (2nd best). He also has 2.8spg and a FGP of 55.2%.
