Get Better Basketball Academy (GBA) in Prague, Czech Republic

Get Better Basketball Academy (GBA) is a private international basketball academy located in Jindrichuv Hradec, a suburb of Prague, Czech Republic. The academy's international training programme is designed to maximize players' potential through year-round intensive training and competition.

The academy's goal is to develop each athlete so that they can either earn a professional contract in Europe or a full scholarship to the United States, depending on their goals.

The academy offers an intensive training process focused on improving players' skills. GBA aims to develop players through high-intensity training, focusing on four key aspects: ball handling, strength, speed, and basketball mindset. Players go through two to three workouts per day to achieve significant results.

Strength training plays a key role and GBA approaches it individually. Players are tested prior to athleticism training and receive personalized training plans. Once these are completed, they are retested to assess progress in strength and power. This approach is effective due to the combination of high demands and safety.

For the 2023/2024 season, 15 academy players have signed contracts with NCAA and NJCAA programmes at the US university team level.
