EYBL U20 round 2 best performance: Karlis Aumeisters

Karlis Aumeisters (200-SF-2008) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Bertanu Valmieras Basketbola skola, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 18-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Nordvast (#7, 1-3) with 20-point margin 102-82. Bertanu maintains the 2nd position in EYBL U20 . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Bertanu will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Aumeisters had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Karlis Aumeisters has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.8rpg), assists (7th best: 3.8apg) and averages impressive 53.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Swedish John Gonzalez (198-SG-2009) of BC Lulea. Gonzalez had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as BC Lulea was edged by Ventspils Spars (2-2) 77-74. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Gonzalez is well-known at BC Lulea and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#3). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Idriss Kamara (204-C-2008) of league's top team Norrkoping Dolphins. Kamara scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Norrkoping, leading his team to a 89-85 win against #4 ranked Audentes in a game of the week. Norrkoping started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Kamara turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Kamara has a great season in EYBL U20. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (#1 in league).
