Vaicekauskas' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Gytis Vaicekauskas had an amazing evening in the last round for Plunges SRC U17 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed ToPo (#8, 1-3) with 17-point margin 84-67. Plunges maintains the 4th position in EYBL U17 . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Plunges will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Vaicekauskas turned to be Plunges' top player in his first season with the team. Gytis Vaicekauskas averages this season 14.3ppg and 7.8rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Benoni Andrason of top-ranked Valur Reykjavik U17 team. He is a in his first season at Valur. In the last game Andrason recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Valur to another comfortable win outscoring Kekava (#9, 0-4) 107-85. This victory allowed Valur to move up to 1st position in the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Andrason is a newcomer at Valur and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Rendels Grigorjevs of BK Kekava U17 team (#9). Grigorjevs got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Grigorjevs' great performance the Kekava lost 85-107 to the league's current leader Valur (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kekava can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Grigorjevs has individually a great season in EYBL U17. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (7th best).

10. Lukas Cijunaitis) of VKM 2 - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
