Ciganskis' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Roberts Ciganskis

18-year old forward Roberts Ciganskis (197-F-2006) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Marupe SC U19 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Hot Pepper (#5, 1-3) with 40-point margin 102-62. Marupe is placed at 2nd position in EYBL U20. The season is still on an early stage, but Marupe already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Ciganskis had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Marupe' top player in his first season with the team. Ciganskis has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.5ppg) and averages solid 2.8spg,81.5% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Toby Holmes of BWC Playmaker Academy U20 team. He is a in his first season at BWC. In the last game Holmes recorded an impressive 39 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as BWC lost that game 77-85 to Rakvere (1-3). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Holmes is a newcomer at BWC and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 6.0rpg and 3.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Karl Ristna (182-PG-2006) of Rakvere Spordikool U20 team (#7). Ristna scored 27 points and passed 5 assists. He was a key player of Rakvere, leading his team to a 85-77 win against BWC (#9, 0-4). Rakvere can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Ristna has individually a great season in EYBL U20. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.5ppg (best scorer).
