Bruno Stude's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Guard Bruno Stude (186-G-2008) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Vantaan Pussihukat Juniorit, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 16-year old player recorded a triple-double of 19 points adding also 10 rebounds and 13 assists, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Mens Sana (#8, 0-4) with 22-point margin 106-84. PuHu Juniorit is placed at 6th position in EYBL U17. PuHu Juniorit is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Stude had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be PuHu Juniorit's top player in his first season with the team. Bruno Stude has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 6.3apg) and averages impressive 2.5spg.

The second best player in last round's games was Olivers Rams of Ekselences centrs Riga. Rams had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Ekselences was edged by slightly higher-ranked Zalgiris (#3, 3-1) 85-82. Despite lost game Ekselences moved up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Rams is a newcomer at Ekselences, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.0ppg (#4). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ukrainian forward Yevhen Kaziuk (198-F-2008) of Tartu Ulikool/Estiko (#7). Kaziuk scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Kaziuk's great performance the Ulikool/Estiko lost 82-86 to slightly higher-ranked PuHu (#6, 2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ulikool/Estiko can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Kaziuk has a very solid season. In 4 games in EYBL U17 he scored 18.0ppg.
