Matej Buben claims EYBL U17 weekly honour

Talented Matej Buben (199-F-2009) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Valecnici Decin and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 15-year old forward had the game-high 33 points adding three rebounds for Decin in his team's victory, helping them to outclass PuHu (#6, 2-2) with 46-point margin 107-61. It allowed Decin to jump to the first place in the EYBL U17. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Decin has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Buben had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Decin's top player in his first season with the team. Matej Buben averages this season 15.8ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Ugnius Burdaitis of second-ranked SKM Eagles Vilnius U17 team. Burdaitis impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led SKM Eagles to another comfortable win outscoring Drive Acad. (#9, 0-4) 114-51. This victory allowed SKM Eagles to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Burdaitis is a newcomer at SKM Eagles and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Raivo Kudrjavcevs (188-G-2008) of Ekselences centrs Riga (#5). Kudrjavcevs scored 27 points and passed 7 assists. Despite Kudrjavcevs' great performance the Ekselences lost 63-94 to the lower-ranked VKM (#10, 8-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Kudrjavcevs has a great season in EYBL U17. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (5th best) and assists with 8.7apg (best passer).

9. Vytautas Persinevicius) of SKM Eagles - 16 points and 6 rebounds
10. Azuolas Zibuda) of VKM - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
