Tcheishvili's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Gera Tcheishvili

17-year old Gera Tcheishvili (2007) had a very impressive game in the last round for BC Kutaisi U17 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 51 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Taurage (#7, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team in overtime 112-107. Thanks to this victory Kutaisi moved-up to the 6th position in EYBL U17. Too late to improve their position as they are currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Tcheishvili had a remarkable 60.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kutaisi's top player in his first season with the team. Gera Tcheishvili averages just after three games 36.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Neimantas Viliusis of Taurage U17 team. He is a in his first season at Taurage. In the last game Viliusis recorded an impressive double-double of 40 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Taurage lost that overtime game 107-112 to slightly higher-ranked Kutaisi (#6, 1-3). Taurage managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Viliusis is a newcomer at Taurage and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Daniel Koivisto (G-2008) of Turun NMKY (#4). Koivisto showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 9 assists in the last round. He was a key player of TuNMKY, leading his team to a 93-82 win against slightly lower-ranked A.Kraukla/VEF (#5, 1-3). TuNMKY needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Koivisto has a great season in EYBL U17. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.5apg (6th best).
