Renne Ikalainen's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Renne Ikalainen put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lahti Basketball U16 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The recorded a triple-double of 35 points adding also 11 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team KFUM Central (#3, 0-0) with 32-point margin 93-61. Lahti is placed at 21th position in EYBL U16. Lahti is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Ikalainen had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Lahti's top player in his first season with the team. Ikalainen has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (8th best: 4.8apg) and averages solid 4.1spg and 54.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was August Engelhardt of Falcon Copenhagen U16 team. Engelhardt impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds. Of course he led Falcon to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked BC Nokia (#6, 6-2) 91-71. This victory allowed Falcon to move up to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Engelhardt is a newcomer at Falcon and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Viktor Prus (194-F-2009) of Oppsal Panthers Oslo (#49). Prus scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Prus' great performance the Oppsal lost 65-79 to the higher-ranked Roseto (#19, 4-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Oppsal can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Prus has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U16 he scored 17.5ppg. He also has 11.4rpg, 3.6spg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 59.0%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
