EYBL U17 round 24 best performance: Nils Krastins (by Hoops Agents)

Nils Krastins had a great game in the last round for Bertanu Valmieras Basketbola skola, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The player was the main contributor (30 points and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Fryshuset (#22, 4-4) with 41-point margin 105-64. Bertanu is placed at 3rd position in EYBL U17. They are still close to the very top. Bertanu would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Krastins had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Bertanu's top player in his first season with the team. Nils Krastins averages this season 16.4ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Oliver Kruus (195-F/G-2007) of Keila Coolbet. Kruus had a very good evening with a double-double of 38 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Keila C. to edge the lower-ranked Myerscough (#33, 3-5) 72-67. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Keila C. managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kruus is a newcomer at Keila C., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#3). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Jaako Hilden of league's second-best YMCA Tampere. Hilden showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Hilden's great performance the YMCA lost 82-87 to the lower-ranked Fryshuset (#22, 4-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing YMCA needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Hilden has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U17 he scored 12.4ppg.
