Raivo Indans claims EYBL U16 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Raivo Indans had an amazing evening in the last round for Ekselences centrs Riga and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The had the game-high 26 points adding seven rebounds and two assists for Ridzene in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Casapulla (#44, 1-6) with 51-point margin 102-51. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Ekselences moved-up to the 59th position in EYBL U16. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Ekselences will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Indans had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ekselences's top player in his first season with the team. Raivo Indans averages this season 17.9ppg and 8.8rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Darko Tirmanis of Basketbola klase Riga U16 team. Tirmanis impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Basketbola klase cruised to a 89-82 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Skjetten (#61, 4-4). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Basketbola klase dropped in the standings to 57th position. He plays for the best team in the league and Basketbola klase managed to win all 8 games keeping a perfect record. Tirmanis is a newcomer at Basketbola klase and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Samir Maleki of Skjetten U16 team (#61). Maleki got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Skjetten, leading his team to a 86-57 easy win against the higher-ranked Casapulla (#44, 1-6). Skjetten needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Maleki has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U16 he scored 15.6ppg.
