Gabrielius Peciulis claims EYBL U17 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Gabrielius Peciulis (190-G-2008) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Plunges Olimpas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 16-year old guard had a double-double of 32 points and 18 rebounds, while his team beat Jugla (#56, 2-6) 88-75. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory P.Olimpas moved-up to the 53th position in EYBL U17. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. P.Olimpas will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Peciulis had a remarkable 57.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be P.Olimpas' top player in his first season with the team. Peciulis has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.0ppg. Peciulis is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 12.6rpg), assists (6th best: 6.6apg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 59.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Robert Valma (2008) of KK Sokud/Kalev. Valma impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course he led Sokud/Kalev to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked A.Kraukla/VEF (#85, 3-5) 100-73. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sokud/Kalev dropped in the standings to 54th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Valma is a newcomer at Sokud/Kalev and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Jacques Egbende of General Contractor Jesi (#43). Egbende scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jesi, leading his team to a 79-63 easy win against Svincolati (7-1). Jesi is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Egbende has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U17 he scored 13.4ppg. He also has 8.9rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 67.6%.

8. Armaan Wagley) of Evo Sports - 16 points and 19 rebounds
9. Karl Karming (2008) of Sokud/Kalev - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Kelvin Talbot) of Sheffield - 16 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
