Leo Johnson claims EYBL U20 Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Leo Johnson (189-G-2006) put on an amazing game in the last round for Pantterit Helsinki and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 18-year old guard had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Norrort (#25, 7-1) 87-78. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Pantterit moved-up to the 37th position in EYBL U20. Pantterit is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Pantterit, through which he has constantly improved. Johnson has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.1ppg) and averages solid 58.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Toby Holmes of BWC Playmaker Academy U20 team. Holmes impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led BWC to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Hot Pepper Red (#1, 1-3) 94-69. Despite this victory BWC slide down in the standings to 29th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Holmes is a newcomer at BWC and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#2). He also registered 7.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another BWC's star - Oskaras Gergelis. Gergelis scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was another key player of BWC Playmaker Academy U20 team, helping his team with a 102-93 overtime win against the lower-ranked Ura Basket (3-5). The chances of BWC not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gergelis could try to bring BWC's a little bit higher in the standings. Gergelis has a very solid season. In 4 games in EYBL U20 he scored 13.5ppg.
