EYBL U17 round 30 best performance: Eero Gustafsson

Eero Gustafsson had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked YMCA Tampere, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 30.
The player was the main contributor (30 points, four rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Sigulda (#41, 4-4) in overtime 91-87. YMCA maintains the 2nd position in EYBL U17 . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. YMCA will need more victories to improve their 10-6 record. In the team's last game Gustafsson had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be YMCA's top player in his first season with the team. Eero Gustafsson averages this season 18.5ppg and 4.4apg.

The second best player in last round's games was Davis Neijs of RBS Basketbola Klase U19 team. Neijs had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Bball Klase cruised to a 99-92 overtime win over the higher-ranked YMCA (#2, 10-6). This victory allowed Bball Klase to move up to 17th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Neijs is a newcomer at Bball Klase, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Stelios Christofi of Brent Panthers (#80). Christofi scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). Despite Christofi's great performance the Brent lost 69-74 to the higher-ranked Ridzene (#10, 7-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Brent can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Christofi has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U17 he scored 13.8ppg.

8. Ali Tokgoz (185-G-2008) of YMCA - 11 points and 20 rebounds
9. Nikoloz Berekashvili (195-C -2007) of Kutaisi - 13 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Sandro Managadze (193-F -2007) of Kutaisi - 12 points and 14 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
