Kocsis' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

21-year old point guard Attila Kocsis (180-PG-2003) had a great game in the last round for Veszprem Kosarlabda Klub and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 52 points and 15 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Levice (#39, 6-2) 112-118. Veszprem moved-up to the 3rd position in EYBL U20. Too late to improve their position as they are currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Kocsis had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Veszprem's top player in his first season with the team. Attila Kocsis averages this season 27.3ppg and 7.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Julius Matusek (200-F-2005) of BK Iskra Svit. He is a forward in his 5th season at Levice. In the last game Matusek recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Iskra Svit to another comfortable win 82-66 over the lower-ranked Obudai (#44, 3-5) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Iskra Svit dropped in the standings to 39th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Matusek is one of the most experienced players at Iskra Svit and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Amadou Lome (200-C-2006) of EMTV Hamburg U20 team (#38). Lome scored 22 points and grabbed 22 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Hamburg, leading his team to a 73-63 win against the higher-ranked NABA (#25, 1-7). Hamburg needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Lome has a great season in EYBL U20. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.4ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 12.1rpg (#1 in league). He also has 2.2spg, 1.6bpg and a FGP of 53.7%.
