Sebastian Mailath-Pokorny claims EYBL U20 weekly honour

Talented Sebastian Mailath-Pokorny (199-F-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for Vienna United and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 20-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Drive Ac. 2 (#50, 0-8) with 58-point margin 109-51. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. United is placed at 23th position in EYBL U20. United is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Mailath-Pokorny had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's his second year at United and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Sebastian Mailath-Pokorny averages this season 16.4ppg and 6.6rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young power forward Joanis Koulisianis (205-F/C-2005) of Basket Brno. Koulisianis impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Brno cruised to a 80-73 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked BVBS (4-4). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Brno managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 20th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Koulisianis is well-known by Brno fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Ukrainian Bohdan Tolmachov (203-C-2005) of Bertanu Valmieras Basketbola skola (#19). Tolmachov scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bertanu, leading his team to a 97-68 easy win against the lower-ranked RIG Haga (4-4). Bertanu needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Tolmachov has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U20 he scored 15.6ppg.

10. Sanchez Falette) of Myerscough - 18 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists
