Luc Brongniart claims EYBL U17 weekly honour

Luc Brongniart had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Rens United New York U17 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Alvik (#24, 0-4) with 21-point margin 110-89. It allowed Rens United to consolidate first place in the EYBL U17. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Rens United already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Brongniart had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Luc Brongniart averages this season 11.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Georgian Luka Gabisiani of Vis Basket Reggio Calabria U17 team. Gabisiani impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Vis Basket to edge Alvik (#24, 0-4) by 3 points 95-92. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Vis Basket keeps 10th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gabisiani is a newcomer at Vis Basket and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.3ppg (#2).

The third best performed player last round was Filippo Gaeta of Roseto Academy U17 team (#5). Gaeta showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Roseto Acad., leading his team to a 87-79 win against Alvik (#24, 0-4). Roseto Acad. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Gaeta has a great season in EYBL U17. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.8ppg (4th best) and assists with 4.5apg (8th best).
