Nikolozi Bodaveli claims EYBL U16 weekly honour

Talented Nikolozi Bodaveli (2009) put on an amazing game in the last round for BC Telavi U16 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 16-year old had the game-high 45 points adding three rebounds and four assists for Telavi in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Sigulda (#83, 0-9) with 46-point margin 110-64. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Telavi maintains the 31th position in EYBL U16 . Telavi is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. In the team's last game Bodaveli had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 15 attempts. He turned to be Telavi's top player in his first season with the team. Bodaveli has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 33.3ppg. Bodaveli is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 52.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Telavi's star - young point guard Nikoloz Tuliani (160-PG-2010). Tuliani impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 30 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course together with Bodaveli he helped BC Telavi U18 team with another comfortable win outscoring Sigulda (#83, 0-9) 110-64. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Telavi keeps 31th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Tuliani is well-known by Telavi fans and together with Nikolozi Bodaveli they both established positions among team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 6.1rpg and 5.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was Felix Heinz of SK UP Olomouc U16 team (#4). Heinz got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Olomouc, leading his team to a 82-76 win against #3 ranked Rae/Kiili in a game of the week. Olomouc needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Heinz has a great season in EYBL U16. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.0ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 8.8rpg (6th best) and assists with 3.5apg (9th best). He also has 2.8spg and a FGP of 65.5%.
