EYBL U17 round 10 best performance: Leonards Papans

Guard Leonards Papans (183-G-2009) had a very impressive game in the last round for RBS Rigas Juniori, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 16-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, three rebounds and five assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass BC Nokia (#19, 4-4) with 44-point margin 116-72. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Rigas Juniori maintains the 81th position in EYBL U17 . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Rigas Juniori keeps a perfect 8-0 record. In the team's last game Papans had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Rigas Juniori's top player in his first season with the team. Leonards Papans averages this season 20.5ppg and 4.3apg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Jugla's star - Roberts Deics. Deics had a very good evening with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course together with Papans he helped Rigas Stradina Universitate / VEF Riga with another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked BC Nokia (#19, 4-4) 116-72. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. RSU/VEF keeps 81th position. He plays for the best team in the league and RSU/VEF managed to win all 8 games keeping a perfect record. Deics is a newcomer at RSU/VEF, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Aati Ylivakeri of BC Nokia U17 team (#19). Ylivakeri got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Ylivakeri's great performance the BC Nokia lost 72-116 to the lower-ranked Jugla (#81, 8-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing BC Nokia needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Ylivakeri has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U17 he scored 14.3ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and a FGP of 50.8%.
