Afanzer's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Itamar Afanzer put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Otzma Modiin U16 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out NSA (3-1) 89-85. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Otzma is placed at 34th position in EYBL U16. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Otzma will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Afanzer had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Otzma's top player in his first season with the team. Itamar Afanzer averages this season 12.0ppg and 6.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Makar Konovnitsyn of Next Step Academy U16 team. He is a in his first season at NSA. In the last game Konovnitsyn recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as NSA was edged by the higher-ranked Otzma (3-1) 89-85. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. NSA dropped in the standings to 38th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Konovnitsyn is a newcomer at NSA and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Niklas Neunkirchner of league's second-best Sportunion Traiskirchen Lions U16 team. Neunkirchner showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Lions, leading his team to a 61-44 easy win against the lower-ranked Slam Bball Ac. (#44, 3-5). Traiskirchen is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Neunkirchner has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U16 he scored 8.4ppg. He also has 4.9rpg and a FGP of 53.8%.
