Norberts Freimanis claims EYBL U16 weekly honour

Norberts Freimanis had a very impressive game in the last round for Pardaugava U16 team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed DSN-2 (#80, 1-7) with 64-point margin 108-44. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Pardaugava maintains the 22th position in EYBL U16 . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Pardaugava will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Freimanis had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Freimanis has impressive league stats. He leads league in rebounds with 12.3rpg. Freimanis is in league's top in and averages solid 1.6bpg,3.9spg and 69.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Slovakian Aike Dzacar (SF) of Crew BBall Napoli U16 team. Dzacar impressed basketball fans with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Crew Napoli to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Santa Cruz (#69, 2-6) 110-49. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Crew Napoli keeps 18th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Dzacar is a newcomer at Crew Napoli and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Stefans Mezals of DSN Riga U16 team (#8). Mezals got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for nine assists. He was a key player of DSN, leading his team to a 118-75 easy win against Ura Basket (#91, 0-4). DSN needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Mezals has a great season in EYBL U16. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.9ppg (6th best).

10. Rodrigo Pontags) of DSN - 28 points and 8 rebounds
