Kalnins' 19 points and 7 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

Mikus Kalnins had an amazing evening in the last round for CBA/CPSS Cesis U17 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 19 points adding seven rebounds for Bertans in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tbilisi (#22, 3-7) with 26-point margin 92-66. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Cesis maintains the 17th position in BBBL . They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cesis will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Kalnins as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Mikus Kalnins averages this season 7.6ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Andria Tskvitinidze of Tbilisi Basket U16 team. He is a in his first season at Tbilisi. In the last game Tskvitinidze recorded an impressive 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Tbilisi lost that game 58-90 to the higher-ranked Tartu (#4, 8-3). Tbilisi managed to keep the same 22th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Tskvitinidze is a newcomer at Tbilisi and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Aret Kivimae of Reinar Halliku Korvpallikool U20 team (#5). Kivimae scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of RHKK, leading his team to a 70-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Liepaja (#23, 3-12). RHKK needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 3 lost games. Kivimae has a very solid season. In 5 games in BBBL he scored 9.6ppg.
