BBBL round 7 best performance: Roberts Bikovskis (by Hoops Agents)

Roberts Bikovskis put on an amazing game in the last round for BVBS Valmeira U16 team, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player was the main contributor (24 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Tartu (#20, 8-3) 73-71. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory BVBS moved-up to the 33th position in BBBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. BVBS will need more victories to improve their 9-6 record. In the team's last game Bikovskis had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be BVBS' top player in his first season with the team. Roberts Bikovskis has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.4ppg) and averages impressive 65.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Kirill Ermakov (180-G-2010) of Keila Korvpallikool. Ermakov had a very good evening with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course Keila KK cruised to a 59-50 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked A.Kraukla/VEF (#29, 4-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Keila KK dropped in the standings to 21th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Ermakov is a newcomer at Keila KK, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 8.3rpg and 4.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Teo Leimanis of Gulbene U16 team (#14). Leimanis showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was a key player of Gulbene, leading his team to a 58-56 win against slightly higher-ranked Bauska (#13, 2-3). Gulbene started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Leimanis turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Leimanis has a very solid season. In 5 games in BBBL he scored 8.0ppg.
