EYBL U17 round 13 best performance: Marek Houska (by Hoops Agents)

Point guard Marek Houska (194-PG-2009) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for BK Armex Decin, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 16-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Roseto Acad. (#14, 5-2) 80-70. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Decin moved-up to the 13th position in EYBL U17. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Decin will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Houska had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Decin's top player in his first season with the team. Marek Houska has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (5th best: 6.5apg) and averages impressive 3.5spg and 67.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Massimiliano D'Amato of Crew BBall Basket U17 team. D'Amato had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Crew Napoli lost that game 66-84 to the higher-ranked Grand Est (#51, 3-1). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Crew Napoli managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 55th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. D'Amato is a newcomer at Crew Napoli, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Marcel Becelewski (187-G-2009) of ENEA Basket Junior Poznan (#15). Becelewski got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . He was a key player of ENEA Basket, leading his team to a 76-67 win against the higher-ranked Bears Academy (#1, 3-1). Poznan 2 needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Becelewski has a very solid season. In 6 games in EYBL U17 he scored 17.8ppg. He also has 2.8spg and a FGP of 58.8%.
