Marcel Becelewski claims EYBL U17 weekly honour

Talented Marcel Becelewski (187-G-2009) had an amazing evening in the last round for ENEA Basket Junior Poznan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 16-year old guard had the game-high 40 points adding five rebounds for Poznan in his team's victory, helping them to beat Bears Academy (#1, 3-1) 76-67. ENEA Basket is placed at 15th position in EYBL U17. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Poznan 2 will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Becelewski had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at ENEA Basket and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Marcel Becelewski averages this season 17.8ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Georges Ango of second-ranked Varese Academy Basketball U17 team. Ango impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Varese lost that game 92-105 to the lower-ranked Decin (#12, 6-2). This loss caused Varese to drop to 2nd position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Varese managed to get this year. Ango is a newcomer at Varese and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Nedas Liutkevicius of Richards Elite London U20 team (#46). Liutkevicius showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Richards Elite, leading his team to a 95-53 easy win against the lower-ranked ABC Hoopers (#63, 1-3). Richards Elite needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Liutkevicius has a very solid season. In 3 games in EYBL U17 he scored 21.0ppg.
