Vabalas' 36-point game gives him Player of the Week award

Vainius Vabalas put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked KA Snaiperis Vilnius U17 team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 36 points adding five rebounds and five assists for Snaiperis in his team's victory, helping them to crush IBAM (#5, 3-5) with 18-point margin 93-75. Snaiperis is placed at 2nd position in EYBL U17. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Snaiperis keeps a perfect 8-0 record. In the team's last game Vabalas had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Snaiperis' top player in his first season with the team. Vabalas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.5ppg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 53.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Sandro Shervashidze (209-C/F-2009) of Hyundai U18 team. He is a in his second season at Hyundai. In the last game Shervashidze recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Hyundai to another comfortable win 78-63 over the lower-ranked RBS Centrs (#7, 2-6) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Hyundai to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 4-4 record is not bad at all. Shervashidze is well-known at Hyundai and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to Nick Hebling of Internationale Basketball Akademie Muenchen (#5). Hebling got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. Despite Hebling's great performance the Akademie Muenchen lost 82-89 to slightly higher-ranked Hyundai (#3, 4-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of IBAM not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hebling could try to bring IBAM's a little bit higher in the standings. Hebling has a very solid season. In 8 games in EYBL U17 he scored 14.1ppg. He also has a FGP of 57.6% and 3PT: 48.6%.
