Cameron Shelton's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Cameron Shelton (188-G-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for BK Ventspils and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 26-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 22 points adding also 10 rebounds and 13 assists, while his team crushed LU (#13, 2-14) with 22-point margin 118-96. Ventspils is placed at 4th position in LAT-EST BL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Ventspils will need more victories to improve their 13-5 record. In the team's last game Shelton had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ventspils' top player in his first season with the team. Loyola Marymount University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Shelton is in league's top in points (8th best: 17.3ppg), assists (4th best: 6.1apg) and averages solid 63.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Brody Fox (198-F-2002) of Latvijas Universitate. Fox impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as LU lost that game 96-118 to the higher-ranked Ventspils (#4, 13-5). LU is still in a red zone at 13th spot in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories LU managed to get this year. Fox is a newcomer at LU and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.9ppg (#2). He also registered 7.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Ventspils' star - American Bryant Thomas (203-C-1999, agency: Olsta). Thomas scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of BK Ventspils, helping his team with a 118-96 easy win against the lower-ranked LU (#13, 2-14). Ventspils needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 5 lost games. Thomas has a very solid season. In 18 games in LAT-EST BL he scored 12.6ppg. He also has 6.2rpg, 1.3bpg and a FGP of 68.2%.
