Eurobasket has a network of almost 300 correspondents, while most of them are located in Europe and participated in preparing the ranking below. We have the policy of not involving the fans as it may influence the final ranking and instead of that we rely on the opinions of experts. The votes were made in two categories: All-Europe and All-Europeans. All-Europe ranking applies to the players, who played in European leagues in last (16-17) and this (17-18) season, so it may apply also to non-European players, who played as imports in Europe. All-Europeans category applies only to Europeans, but also these, who played overseas (mostly in NBA). This year Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-G/F-92) has been unanimously named the Eurobasket.com All-Europe Player of the Year. Former Fenerbahce superstar is now in the NBA playing with Sacramento Kings jersey and already adjusted to the league. Last season he led Fenerbahce to Euroleague title and Serbain National Team to Eurobasket 2017 finals (eventually lost to Slovenia). Best Point Guard of the Year is one and only Luka Doncic (201-G-99). Slovenian phenom is not the most athletic player, but his skill set is high enough to become a NBA start very soon. Fresh Eurobasket 2017 champion is predicted to be selected as the 1st pick of upcoming Draft. Nando De Colo (196-SG-87) has been chosen as best Europe Shooting Guard. Last season he averaged impressive 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists in 52 games for CSKA. Despite losing EuroLeague title he is still one of the best players in continent. Best Power Forward Award went to Georgios Printezis (204-PF-85). Experienced Greek player is still one of Olympiacos leaders in the Euroleague. He also had solid Eurobasket 2017 where he reached Quarterfinals with his National Team. Last season Euroleague Finals MVP - Ekpe Udoh (208-F/C-87) - has been named Best Center of the Year. Udoh led Fenerbahce Istanbul to its first ever EuroLeague crown after beating Olympiacos Piraeus 80-64 at home court dominating on both ends of the floor. He is now trying to mark his in the NBA in Utah Jazz. In All-Europe 2nd Team we have Milos Teodosic (195-PG-87), Keith Langford (193-SG-83), Alexey Shved (198-G-88), Tornike Shengelia (206-PF-91) and Jan Vesely (213-C/F-90). Born in Serbia, working in the USA for the Utah Jazz Igor Kokoskov has been named Best Europe Coach of the Year. Kokoskov led Slovenia to Eurobasket 2017 gold medal. Eurobasket 2017 Champion and Most Valuable Player Goran Dragic (190-PG-86) has been named best European Player of 2017. Great end of his National Team carrer as he walked away from the international basketball stage with a gold medal. Miami Heat point guard finished the final game with 35 points along with seven rebounds and three assists. On Shooting Guard position we have Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Sacramento Kings. Giannis Antetokounmpo (211-G/F-94) has been named best Small Forward of the Year. Greek freek is already among top stars in the NBA registering another impressive season for the Milwaukee Bucks. Unfortunately he missed Eurobasket 2017. Best Power Forward award went to Kristaps Porzingis (221-C/F-95). Latvian big man can do miracles on both ends of the floor. His shooting range and mobility on the court is unbeliveable for a player his size. Future is bright for Latvian basketball. Another NBA player has been named European Best Center of the Year. French Rudy Gobert (216-C-92) of the Utah Jazz did not show his talents during Eurobasket 2017 but had amazing year in the NBA as he was selected to NBA 2nd Team and All-Defensive 1st Team. In the 2nd team we have Dennis Schroeder (181-PG-93), Evan Fournier (198-SG-92), Nando De Colo(196-SG-87), Nikola Jokic (209-C-95) and Marc Gasol (216-C-85).
