Theo Rey

US Avignon/Pontet Basket (NM1) signed 24-year-old 194cm guard Theo Rey for the upcoming season. He is a well-known player in French NM1, having been the second-best scorer at AS Loon Plage Basket last season. In 34 NM1 games in France, he averaged 11.2ppg, 3.3rpg, and 2.1apg. He previously played for another French team for two seasons (2021-23).
He represented France at the Albert Schweitzer International Tournament in Mannheim (Unofficial World Championships U18) six years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 5.1 ppg and had 2.9 rpg.
Rey has played for three other teams previously: JL Bourg, Gries/Oberhoffen, and Bourg.
His team finished as the regular season runner-up in French ProA U21 in 2019. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French ProA U21 Honorable Mention in 2019.
