Syllas Edipsou earned promotion to the National League 1, beating Panachaiki 77-67 in the promotion final on Sunday to secure a place in Greece's second tier for the upcoming season.
The Edipsou side controlled the contest from start to finish, leading 22-19 after the first quarter and pulling away with a dominant second period to take a 43-31 halftime lead. A 23-16 third quarter extended the advantage to 66-47 before Panachaiki's late rally proved far too little, too late.
Spyropoulos led the winners with 26 points, including two three-pointers, in a commanding performance. Papadakis added 17 (4-of-7 from three) and Tsoumas chipped in 12 as coaches Zaronikolas and Papargyropoulos' side closed out the promotion. Kaffke also reached double figures with 13.
For Panachaiki, coached by Lionas and Menounos, Chronopoulos top-scored with 21, while Chatzopoulos added 17 and Christopoulos had 12. But the Patras side's third-quarter collapse left them with too much ground to recover.
