Panathinaikos AKTOR made it back-to-back wins at the 2nd International Tournament Rhodes 2026, beating Spartak Office Shoes 77-59, with Sylvain Francisco (185-PG-1997) again the team's leading scorer, this time with 13 points.
Panathinaikos started fast, leading 10-5 through three minutes and 13-5 a minute later, and though Spartak briefly cut into it with a 4-0 run to trail just 13-9 in the sixth minute, the Greens answered to lead 21-13 by the eighth and closed the quarter ahead 25-21. The lead grew to eight, 29-21, in the 14th minute and into double digits for the first time at 35-25 in the 16th; Spartak's response, a 6-2 run that trimmed it to 37-31, was quickly matched by Panathinaikos, who pushed back out to 44-31 before halftime and led 44-33 at the break. Spartak made one more push after the interval, a 5-0 run cutting the gap to six at 44-38 and closing to 46-42 in the 25th minute, but Panathinaikos answered with a 9-4 run of their own to lead 58-46 by the 29th minute and carried a 60-47 edge into the fourth. The Greens pulled away for good in the 36th minute, stretching the lead to 23 points, 74-51, before closing out the 77-59 win in largely procedural fashion. Francisco's 13 points led all scorers, with Guerschon Yabusele (202-PF-1995) adding 12 and Isaac Bonga (204-F-1999) 9; Lefteris Mantzoukas (207-F-2003, college: OK State) and Brancou Badio (191-G-1999) each contributed 8. Igor Drobnjak (188-PG-2000) topped Spartak Office Shoes with 11 points, and Dalibor Ilic (202-F-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10. |
