Olympiacos add Raca to their roster

Ivana Raca

Olympiacos Piraeus (A1) added to their roster 24-year old Cypriot-Serbian forward Ivana Raca (189cm-1999, college: Wake Forest) for new 2024-25 season. Raca is the second import player in the roster as Cypriot Elena Pilakouta signed here earlier.
She played last season at Dinamo Sassari in Italian Serie A1. In 23 games she was league's third best scorer with impressive 16.0ppg and had 5.5rpg and 2.5apg. She helped them to make it to the Supercup semifinals. Good season as she was named League Player of the Week and voted to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A1 Second Team. She also played 10 games in Eurocup where she recorded 14.8ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.6apg and 1.3spg.
The most of previous (2022-23) season she spent at Fenerbahce in Turkish league. In 18 Euroleague games she averaged 3.0ppg in that year. Raca contributed to her team winning the Euroleague championship. The other team she played shortly was IDK Euskotren in Spanish LF Endesa. But in only one game she did not score anything and had only 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
Three years ago she was drafted by Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA) in third round (28th overall).
The former Wake Forest University standout is in her fourth season in pro basketball.
She represented Cyprus at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Sopron (Hungary) six years ago. Raca's team won Silver and her stats at that event were 7 games: Score-4(16.6ppg), 6.7rpg, 1.0apg, 1.9spg, FGP: 55.8%, 3PT: 42.9%, FT: 83.8%.
Raca has played previously professionally also in Spain.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was selected to Eurobasket.com All-European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U18 Honorable Mention back in 2017.
